Linen donation to Toevlug Centre

Golden Valley has also donated linen from the Golden Valley Lodge in Worcester to the Toevlug Centre for alcohol and drug dependence.

The donation consisted of over 400 items made up of flat double bed sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases, mattress protectors, pillow protectors, duvet inners, pillows, throws, bath and hand towels, bath mats and face cloths.

The Centre treats over 600 adults and 110 youth members both in inpatient and outpatient facilities.

Bergins said, “The Centre receives a government subsidy for its programmes, but this does not include things such as linen and toiletries. We are delighted to have been able to assist. We try to recycle as much as possible and as the linen is from the hotel the quality is still excellent.”

Sarihana Whitehead, the Marketer for Toevlug Centre said the double bed sheets will be altered into single bed sheets for their purposes so these will go even further.
