Cape Town Tourism, the City of Cape Town's official regional tourism organisation responsible for tourism marketing, visitor and industry services, recently selected a Z-CARD® calendar to list and promote events taking place in Cape Town and the Western Cape from January to June 2013.

“Apart from a comprehensive list of events, the calendar boasts safety information, sporting fixtures, emergency numbers and discounted deals,” says Cape Town Tourism’s Chief Executive Officer, Mariette Du Toit-Helmbold.

She explains that Cape Town Tourism is focused on presenting the inspirational city, so full of unexpected treasures and life-changing experiences, to a growing and changing global market.

Booked by brand and event activation specialist, Enov8, the pocket-sized Z-CARD® is being distributed from mid December via visitors centres; major international airports, on all domestic and international marketing platforms initiated by Cape Town Tourism, and via its  membership base.

An online event calendar for Cape Town, which runs from January to June 2013, is also available on Cape Town Tourism’s website (www.capetown.travel/events) and features sports events, festivals and expos to name a few.

“Cape Town Tourism previously used a folded leaflet, quarterly, and wanted to change the format and produce something every six months. Various items were considered but they selected the Z-CARD® as it offered the perfect solution,” says Nicole Rollings from Enov8, which brings brands to life by focussing on brand engagement, using meaningful interactions, and building on brand equity.

“It’s easy to fold out, store, can be carried in your pocket, is flexible, and can include a large amount of information and photographs. The concept is good value for money, attractive and design-friendly,” adds Du Toit-Helmbold.

The event calendar Z-CARD®s are aimed at Cape Town locals and domestic and international visitors to the city.
