Once again, the Good Food & Wine Show Cape Town is set to inspire its visitors. This year the show focuses on new sensations, foraging, sustainability and world food trends. As visitors arrive, they will be given 3D glasses and enter the show through a ‘sensations’ tunnel before they encounter the various hubs inside.

The restaurant quarter – Take a break from the hustle and bustle and grab a bite to eat. Top restaurants will offer their signature dishes from their winter menu and showcase their winter specials. Prepare for the tastiest winter yet.
Gourmet Drive-in Dining area - Enjoy your lunch in our old school drive in dining area complete with topless VW vans and a big screen.
Celebrity Chef Theatre presented by Woolworths &Robertsons Herbs & Spices. This is where the local & international celebrity chefs strut their stuff and demonstrate their signature recipes, using local ingredients, which visitors can create at home. Don’t miss out the golden ticket giveaways to meet the chef in our aptly named Meet-The-Chef Lounge (Woolworths card holders get 10% off the theatre entry)
Meet the Chef Lounge - Each Celebrity Chef will have 30 Golden Tickets to give away during their demonstration in the Celebrity Chefs Theatre presented by Woolworths and Robertsons Herbs & Spices. Each golden ticket will allow you access to the exclusive ‘Meet the Chef Lounge’ after the demonstration. Here you’ll be able to sip on bubbles and chat to the chef as well as snap a couple of pictures with them.
Good Food Champion - We’ve asked South Africa who their favourite artisan market vendors are. These fine food champions will have a dedicated section to entice visitors with their array of treats.
Food Trucks go gourmet at Good Food & Wine Show. SA’s top food trucks are battling it out for a spot at GFWS 2014. Experience SA’s best street cuisine all under one roof. Kyknet Kook -This is a celebration of Afrikaner culture, heritage and food. It features well know Afrikaans celebrities, such as Nataniel, will be cooking up a storm.
Kitchen Trends – presented by Paul Duncan who will present the kitchen of the future, the farmhouse kitchen, the global kitchen and the sustainable kitchen.
Children’s section (we believe the children are our future).With obesity in South Africa ranking one of the highest in the world, it is important to educate children on healthy eating and how to make it fun. What’s new this year is that the enormously popular CBeebies presenter, Katy Ashworth will be showing kids how to have fun with healthy cooking- from lunchbox assembling and smoothie creations to interactive baking.
Sheryl Ozinsky, who has developed the Oranjezicht urban farm, will be showing visitors how they can not only grow their own vegetables but also how to grow special vegetables
Seductive nutrition – what’s sometimes regarded as serious is made a given a more light-hearted touch to make it yummy and sexy. This pavilion will specifically appeal to those who prefer to eat raw and organic foods and, of course, people who have food intolerances.
Writers Block – for all food and wine writers and bloggers to gather, write, post, network and issue their words on all that they see at the show. This space is also designed to encourage budding bloggers to get writing.
Regional Wine Tasting Tours – We’ve upped the ante and moved away from the traditional wine walk to a tasting tour! Jump aboard a Tasting Tour, showcasing the best wines, restaurants, delis and eateries of each the wine regions have to offer.
SPAR Food Theatre- Become a master chef with the most basic ingredients and learn how create miracles in the kitchen from scratch and save money while doing so.
Kenwood Baking Theatre - Join our interactive Kenwood baking theatre. Kenwood will be showcasing their top of the range kitchen appliances and you will leave bursting to get back to your oven with your newfound inspiration and tricks of the trade.
