Rheebokskloof will play host to the popular Run and Ride The Vines, while kids can enjoy waterslides and pony rides with live music throughout the day by Tequila Band, Nicky de Kock, Gerry Liberty and Aston Wylie, with Soft Landing providing entertainment at Under Oaks.

KWV will also be celebrating the biggest grape varietal in the world with a special Chenin Blanc Journey Pairing, which can be booked at R80 at the venue.

Harvest season is a special time in this award-winning wine region and each farm will also host special harvest activities to give visitors a glimpse into the magic of winemaking. Wine lovers can taste the young, unfiltered wines from the 2016 harvest as well while the whole family can enjoy amongst others grape games, tractor and trailer rides through the vines, grape stomping, guided cellar tours and barrel tastings, blending competitions, cork spitting, wine barrel golf challenge, boules, jenga or croquet as well as vineyard horse rides.

To ensure that the whole family can participate in this fabulous outing, each farm has organised specific child-friendly activities.  Kids can take their pick from petting zoos, junior cheese master classes, traditional kids’ games, jumping castles, water slides, pony rides, gaming stations for teens and creative corners for the arty ones.

You might want to start your day at the Windmeul Farmer’s Market from 08h00-12h30 where you can enjoy a traditional farm breakfast and stock up on fresh produce.   If you’re keen on dancing, make sure to book your spot at the “Outoppie Langarm Dance” at Domaine Brahms.  Kids can join in the fun of traditional games such as egg & spoon, bobbing for appels and wheel barrow racing on the lawns at Laborie Wine farm.   Get rid of the week’s stress at Mellasat Vineyards where you will be treated to a revitalising grape skin foot message, while enjoying great company, relaxing music and tasty treats.
