Jaci’s Lodges is excited to announce another Photographic Safari between 16-19 September 2012 with the talented and experienced Roger and Pat de la Harpe of Africa Imagery.

Having already hosted an extremely successful Safari in July and spent a great deal of time in Madikwe, both Roger and Pat are huge fans of this beautiful area. “Madikwe is where we did much of the photography and research for our book, In Search of the African Wild Dog. We know Madikwe well, and it can be very productive from a photographic point of view,” Roger says.

With a thriving Wild Dog population in Madikwe, Jaci’s Lodges offers the unique opportunity to see these critically endangered animals in their natural habitat.

“Good sightings of wild dogs are not uncommon as is the case with elephant, lion and general game. Additionally, the reserve is beautiful, enhanced by the gorgeous Kalahari light," Pat says.

What helps make this workshop so incredible, besides the unblemished beauty of the bush, is that Roger and Pat are there to offer guidance, feedback and evaluation throughout the safari.

As a previous participant says; “A very big thank you for the most amazing weekend. You have certainly revolutionised my photography at many levels. It was a privilege to spend the 3 days with you both”.

Another guest says; “This was an awesome, awesome experience. I am still framing photos wherever I go in my mind's eye. You and Pat are wonderful teachers”.

And it’s no wonder they are such excellent teachers as they have just finished their 24th book, this one focussed on the king and queen of the bush – the lion.
