The Grill Room

Premier Hotels & Resorts Serves Up A New Restaurant

As part of its continuous quest to deliver World Class African offerings, Premier Hotels & Resorts is introducing a new restaurant at its Premier Hotel Regent – East London property. Bruce McKay, Group Food & Beverage Manager at Premier Hotels & Resorts, says: “While the hotel has an existing on-site eatery providing buffets and traditional hotel restaurant fare, we wanted to add more versatility by supplying a dining experience with a difference under the Premier brand.”

Recognising the need for an upmarket steak restaurant in East London, Premier Hotel Regent introduces the Grill Room. With mouth-watering meat cuts (all of which are aged in-house) and a wide variety of classic cuisine such as snails vol-au-vent, chateaubriand, cherries jubilee and a chocolate fondant. The menu has been carefully designed to deliver tasty traditional dishes with a twist. Meat and wine are perfect food pairing partners and the extensive wine list will definitely not disappoint. Overlooking the ocean, the restaurant has a warm, New York grill room style with its wood finishes and leather-upholstered chairs.

Currently, the Grill Room is serving dinners from Tuesdays to Saturdays between 17:00 and 23:00 with plans to provide lunches soon too. Food and wine pairings will also be on the menu one night a week. Another gourmand delight to look forward to will be the Chef’s Table. Set to be held once a month, this exclusive opportunity will see the restaurant’s chefs preparing a special meal, accompanied by wine or whisky tastings. Initially this will be offered by invitation only, but later will be open to groups of 12 on a pre-booking basis.

“People may think that hotel restaurants are pricey, but the new addition to our family caters for all pockets whilst ensuring wonderful meals in a fantastic setting. With the new restaurant, we want to take guests and locals on culinary journeys that they can savour at their leisure,” concludes McKay.
