This unique knockout polo championship offers an action-packed day with a display of exceptional horsemanship between competing African Polo teams from countries such as Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda and Zimbabwe, with the closely contested and fast paced final witnessed by a premium audience of 3 500+ people annually.

The cup attracts an audience of LSM 10+; business elite from across the continent, celebrities, VIPs, polo lovers, society figures and spectators. Guests watch from the edge of the pitch, where the traditional rules of polo make the spectacular action even more exhilarating for newcomers and aficionados alike.

The 2016 tournament was a 6-goal match and saw teams from Kenya, Egypt, 2 Nigerian sides and 4 representative teams from South Africa including a development team compete for top honors. The crowd was treated to a gripping final between Airbus Helicopters Kenya and Keffi Polo Ranch Nigeria with team Kenya claiming the coveted Africa Cup trophy with a narrow 7 - 6 score.

“It was an honor to play as the captain playing for team Airbus Kenya in 2016, my team mates made the experience a special one. Every player put an incredible amount of effort in preparing themselves and the horses for the Africa Cup and in the end all the hard work paid off. I hope to be back at this year’s Africa Cup as the team captain as I would like to defend the cup” expresses Craig James.

Over the years, the cup has proved phenomenal marketing value for its partners, with over R45million+ of PR and Marketing value achieved in 2016 proving a 6:1 ratio in ROI for the title sponsor.

Previously known as the Land Rover Africa Cup, the 2017 Inanda Africa Cup tournament promises to be an unforgettable occasion as the largest polo event in Africa offering a different atmosphere for you to entertain clients and friends in style.

Don’t miss out on this prestigious, world-class polo entertainment fixture.
